Athon AM 725 Microemulsion is an aqueous aminopolysiloxane microemulsion.

•Provides good sewing properties for fabrics
•Low yellowing
•Especially suitable for polyester and polyester blends with cellulosic fibers.
•Suitable for use in continuous and discontinuous finishing units commonly used in the textile industry.For less whitening effect on cellulosic fabrics treated with fluorescent whiteners, the bath pH should be kept below 6. Drying temperatures should not exceed 120°C.
Use recommendations:
It is recommended to dilute Athon AM 725 Microemulsion using common cold water, at a ratio of 1:5 to 1:8.
Procedure:
•Add half the desired amount of water.
•Add Athon AM 725 Microemulsion while stirring for 30 minutes.
•Keep stirring and add the other half of total amount of water.
•Keep stirring for another 10 minutes.
The dilution time can be reduced (10 – 15 minutes) by gently heating the initial mixture to 40-50°C.
Application by foulard (paddling):
5 to 10 g/L based on pure Athon AM 725 Microemulsion, or 30 – 60g/L based on a 1:6 dilution of the product in water.
Maintain pH at 5.5 – 6.5 using acetic acid.
Application by exhaustion:
For a 1:5 – 1:20 bath ratio, use 3 to 6% Athon AM 725 Microemulsion as supplied, and maintain the pH at 5.5 – 6.5 using acetic acid. Drying for 20min at 40°C.
