A&S MH 923 Emulsion is a methyl hydrogen hydride silicone emulsion, or polymethylhydrogensiloxane. Does not contain organic solvents in its formulation.
•Can be diluted with water to improve dispersion
•Releases hydrogen gas when mixed with bases, heavy metals or their compounds, promoting cross-linking and adhesion to surfaces
•Provides durable water repellency
Treatment for water repellency in plaster parts and plaques when added to the plaster moiety. A&S MH 950 Emulsion is added to the mixing water of the gypsum paste. The addition of 0.3 to 1.2% of the dry mass of gypsum leads to a marked reduction in water absorption. The efficiency of the treatment depends on the type of gypsum, the water / gypsum ratio and the presence of additives such as starch, cellulose or surfactants. Preliminary tests are always required to establish the required quantity of product. The product is not recommended for surface treatment of plaster elements.
Also utilizing in semi-permanent release agent formulations as a crosslinking agent.
