Athon portfolio of elastomers consists of LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) technologies, cured using tin or platinum-based catalysts. They are two-component, ready-to-use systems that allow flexibility for different processes. Rubbers react at room temperature, but cure can be accelerated according to the type of catalyst used, as well as higher temperatures, in the range of 130°C to 230°C. Main applications for tin-based liquid rubbers the making of molds for handicrafts and industrial processes. Platinum-curing rubbers, on the other hand, have a broader scope and can be used for automotive, industrial, electronics and medical applications, among others. Athon also offers tin-cured rubbers already pigmented and in special packaging, destined to handicraft market.
