Athon FB 900 Antifoam is used in textile processes:
•Especially suitable for jet dyeing, but has great performance on other dyeing machines as well.
•Quickly removes air and foam.
•Improves the flow of fabric processing in dyeing on jets and winch becks, especially in processes carried out between 40 and 60°C. •In jet dyeing with vat dyes, it is recommended to add the product with the other auxiliaries approximately 3 minutes before adding the dyestuff.
Pre-dilution:
In most cases, the product should not be used directly in concentrated form. A 10% stock pre- dilution can be prepared as follows:
•Add to 10 parts of Athon FB 900 Antifoam in a container.
• Add little by little 10 parts of water at 20 – 30°C, stirring the paste formed by hand. •Adjust to the final volume, adding the remaining 80 parts of water, shaking manually, until obtaining a homogeneous emulsion. Do not use mechanical agitation or direct steam.
•If the dilution is not used immediately, cream may appear. Therefore, it must be shaken manually before using.
In-Process Use: The optimal amount of defoamer varies depending on the type and amount of foaming substance. Commonly used values using pre-dilution of the product to 10% follow.
Pre-treatment:
Scouring, boiling-off, and bleaching baths: 1.0 to 6.0 g/L 10% predilution of Athon FB 900 Antifoam.

Finishing:
•Post-treatment and finishing liquors depending on liquor composition and process speed: 0.5 to 5.0 g/L 10% pre-dilution of Athon FB 900 Antifoam.

Athon FB 500 Antifoam is a self-dispersing product, with the ability to spontaneously form a fine dispersion when added to water.
Athon FB 500 Antifoam is recommended for all organic systems that require a highly compatible antifoaming agent. Thus, it is ideal for applications where silicones would normally cause problems, such as water miscible adhesives and cooling lubricants.

Formulation of powder detergents: Athon FB 108 Antifoam is added from 5 to 10% to a premixed powder. This premix is then added 2 to 5% to the powdered detergent at the end of the manufacturing process (final recommended product ratio: 0.2 to 0.5%)
Formulation of liquid detergents: Athon FB 108 Antifoam is added at the rate of 0.2 to 0.6% in formulations using thickeners.
